Privacy notice

Last updated: 3 October 2026. This notice describes what this website actually does today. It will be updated when the newsletter moves to this site.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by Hernani Costa, trading as First AI Movers (a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands). The business’s Chamber of Commerce (KVK) and VAT identifiers are available on request at [email protected] and will be added to this page. Contact: [email protected].

What this website processes

  • Visiting the site. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data (IP address, time, requested page, browser type). The site is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery and security; Cloudflare’s edge processes requests and keeps its own short-term security logs) and hosted on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in Falkenstein, Germany. The web server keeps access and error logs for operational and security purposes for up to 30 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Backups. The site’s content and database are backed up daily, encrypted, to a Hetzner Storage Box in Germany, and kept under a rolling retention (7 daily, 4 weekly, 6 monthly copies).
  • No analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies. This site runs no analytics or advertising scripts and sets no cookies for visitors. (WordPress sets login cookies only for site administrators.) Because no non-essential cookies are used, there is no cookie banner.
  • Email you send us. If you write to [email protected], we process your message and address to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or 6(1)(f) GDPR) and keep the correspondence as long as needed for that purpose.
  • Newsletter. The First AI Movers newsletter is currently sent through Beehiiv (beehiiv Inc.), under Beehiiv’s privacy policy. This website does not collect newsletter subscriptions and does not send email. When the newsletter moves to this site, this notice will describe that processing before it starts.
  • Embedded media. Some articles include images or links hosted by third parties (for example YouTube thumbnails or Unsplash). Loading them sends your IP address to that provider.

Recipients and transfers

Processors: Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery, security), Hetzner Online GmbH (hosting and backup storage, Germany). Cloudflare may process request data outside the EU under its standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or share personal data for marketing.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and ask for data portability where it applies, by writing to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
