It will take slightly longer to respond than mini, but it will provide a more thorough answer, often with deeper reasoning or longer output.
In short, mini vs mini-high = quick fix vs thorough solution. They actually share the “same brain, different depth” – meaning the underlying intelligence is similar, but mini-high runs with a higher “effort setting.” A common workflow is to start with GPT-4 mini for speed, and if the task turns out to need more elaboration, switch to mini-high for the follow-up.
