Nvidia Introduces Cost-Effective Blackwell AI Chip for China

In response to recent U.S. export restrictions, Nvidia plans to launch a new, lower-cost AI chip for the Chinese market based on its Blackwell architecture. Priced between 6,500 and 8,000 Dollars, this GPU is designed to comply with U.S. regulations by utilizing GDDR7 memory instead of high-bandwidth memory and avoiding advanced packaging technologies. This move aims to regain Nvidia’s foothold in China, where its market share has declined due to increased competition and regulatory challenges.
